  • Old Epic Orchestra Library -where is it?

I just re-downloaded the old Epic Orchestra 1, a freebie as I recall, for an old song. I cant seem to find the location of the VST DLL? Anyone know please?

    Hi,

Your license for the original Epic Orchestra is contained on your ViennaKey, alongside all other VSL licenses of yours.

So please install the "Vienna Instruments & Vienna Ensemble" Software (you can un-tick "Vienna Ensemble", as you already have VE Pro), and download the Epic Orchestra from here (instructions in the column to the left).

    Best,
    Paul

     The product is already installed.

I still have not been able to find the DLL for Cubase VST3. I have re-installed again. It gives no option to locate or relocate the VST DLL, just goes straight to install. This is a showstoppper fro me.

Can anyone tell me where this might be?

  • Hi,

You are choosing the location for your *.dlls in the installation process. On Windows, these VST plug-in folders have to be assigned correctly in your host software.

    Does that help?

No, it does not help. There is no option in the installation process to choose the location of the DLL. This is the issue. I have installed 3 times and watched carefully. There is also no indication of where the DLL is. Is there a default location? I have tried explorer search for Vienna*.dll it's not worked. What is the exact name fo the DLL please?

  • FYI I hav

I have discovered the same problem with VEPro 7. No option to choose location no sign of the name of the DLL. No idea where it is, not showing in Cubase 11. What to do? Where is the default location?

It is installed on my system but I have no access to it

  • Hello ZeroZero,

Please make sure to tick the "VST3" box during the installation. The latest VSL Installers can be found in your MyVSL here:

    https://www.vsl.co.at/MyDownloads/Software_Installers

If you are not sure whether or not you have ticked the box, feel free to run the installer again. Kindly note that

    1) VST3 plugins are NOT *.dll files (that is VST2). They have a *.vst3 extension.
    2) Only for VST2 you do get to choose where the VST2 plugins are installed to. You can not choose a location for VST3 by design.
    2) VST3 plugins are always installed here:

    64-bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\...

    3) When adding the plugin paths to your host software, you'll have to add the VST3 patch above and for VST2 you have to add the location you choose during the installation.

A quick reminder: While this is true for hosts like Cubase, VE Pro 7 does not support VST3 plugins. Please use your VST2 plugins instead.

    Best regards,
    Andreas

  • As I have said above I am getting no option to install any VST either 2 or 3.

I have checked the download location you cite, its not there. Checking Prgrams and features I can see Vienna Instruments there, but I still have no idea where the VST is. It's not in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\...

Only Vpro and Synchon are at this location

I added the specific path above and can now see Vpro 7 in Cubase which is in there.

Where can it be? What is its name please, so I can search?

Am I downloading the correct program for Epic Orchestra 1? ViennaInstruments-WIN-6.5.18935? Is this VST2 or 3?

    I am really confused now
