    Hi,

    I just downloaded the update for Synchron Pianos, apparently now capable of supporting the Bosendorfer 280, but I get an error when trying to start 'Vienna Synchron Pianos.exe': VCRUNTIME140_1.dll could not be found.

    Any ideas how to resolve this?

    Hello Ruud,

    It looks like you are missing some important Windows files. Please (Re)install these Microsoft Redistributions:

    - x86: vc_redist.x86.exe
    - x64: vc_redist.x64.exe

    (Please install BOTH)

    Possibly you'll have to reinstall the VSL software again, afterwards - can't say for sure:

    Hi Andreas,

    Thanks for that; that fixed it. I got as far as determining VS2015 and tried a vcredist, but the original VS2015 redistributables stated that they were installed already (but no VCRUNTIME140_1.dll to be found on my system). So perhaps it's a new DLL that only arrived with VS2017 or higher.

    I deleted my dll-files.com version and now use the MS one, might save me from some issues. I didn't have to reinstall Synchron Pianos btw.
