  • VI server maintenance?

    Hi,

     

    I've been trying to download licenses for new VI instruments for the last 24 hours but I keep getting an error message saying the license server is not available.

     

    Is there currently any maintenance going on?

    We were all hoping that this is a small glitch that could be resolved within hours.

  • Years ago, I was living in the SF Bay area, when there were several serious blackouts. The regional rail transport system continued to work, but the gates could no longer validate tickets and passes. I don't know if this was ethically acceptable, but we could reach any station we liked without paying more.

    Does this outage mean we can get all the VSL licenses we want for free? :)

    It looks like the server has recovered.

    I don't know what the cause was, but we users should know that because VSL uses eLicenser, it may not be immediately usable after purchase.

    As with disasters such as power outages that Paolo encountered, we realize that the areas we live in are different.
