Hello!
I'm happy to announce that we have added Dorico and Sibelius settings for our new Synchron Elite Strings. These new settings can be used after running the latest versions of the VSL for Dorico installer or the VSL Soundset Installer for Sibelius. https://www.vsl.co.at/Notation_Related

Edit April 13th: Cubase Expression Maps for Synchron Elite Strings have been added on the Notation Related page.

Hi Andi,
In Sibelius with the elite strings I am trying to get per.leg.agile>senza vibrato to trigger.
I use the text command "fast" followed by "senza vibrato" but I can't get it to work. If I remove senza vibrato from the score the agile>regular vibrato will trigger correctly. Any way I can get this to work?
Also I really like the 4 attacks in the longs. I can get the normal, soft and marcato to trigger but not the fast attack. Any way to get it to trigger?
Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave!
To trigger Synchron Elite Strings performance legato agile senza vibrato with Sibelius, please add the technique text commands "senza vibrato" and "fast" and add a slur. https://www.vsl.info/en/tutorials/guides/sibelius-integration/ve-strings#articulations
You are right about the fast attacks. The keyword "fast" is already used for the agile articulations. So I'm sorry to say that there is no keyword integrated that triggers the fast attack articulations with Sibelius.

Hi Andi,
Is it possible to trigger 'Dynamics' in in Sibelius soundset? F.ex. the 'Soft swell' in the Elite strings, Contrabass etc.
I have been seaching the online guide and the forum, but can't find a way.
Best regards
Martin

Hi Martin!
The swells included in Synchron Elite Strings cannot be triggered with the Sibelius sound set "VE Strings". Pre-recorded swells rarely have the correct length for notation software. That's why long notes are triggered by default. You can use VelXF for transitions between dynamic layers.

I was trying to use the default Elite Strings expression map in Dorico 4.3.30, but while the VSL installer says that they are included, I can't see them in the list of included expression maps in Dorico. There are the Strings Pro maps, and then the Prime maps, but no Elite Strings maps.
The playback template is Silence, since I'm trying to build a custom playback template with several different endpoint configurations. But I see a lot of VSL maps when selecting from the Endpoint Setup dialog.
What am I doing wrong?

Hello Paolo!
The Dorico expression maps for "Synchron Strings Pro" work for "Synchron Elite Strings" as well.

Oh, I see! I would suggest to make this self-evident in the map's name, or those a bit slower like me would not get it!
