  • General Guidance on Storing Samples

    Good afternoon,

I hope everyone at the VSL team is well. I have a question regarding storing samples on a portable hard drive (HD). Assuming that I am able to have my vienna key and portable HD connected to my computer, could I put all my samples on my portable HD to free up storage space on my computer while still being able to use the samples on VE Pro 7 and Synchron Player? I have a 2TB portable HD, my macbook pro only has 500 GB of storage, and I don't have enough room to download Epic Orchestra 2.0 (it's a rather massive file).

Any guidance on how to get around the issue of storage space would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi,

You can store your samples anywhere you like. With Epic Orchestra 2.0, it will make sense to get a portable SSD drive with a fast connection (USB3 or faster).

Here are instruction on how to assign the sample content in the player.

    Best,
    Paul
