  • Creating a simple articulation set for Logic - need pointers!

Setting up a simple articulation set in Logic, but the plugin doesn´t respond. I have done the following steps:

    - loaded in 10 patches on one row using x-axis for keyswitches

    - created a new set in Logic with corresponding note on and keyswitch

    - the articulations show up in the pianoroll, but ViPro does not change.

    See screengrabs:

  • LogicPro is based on the Yamaha C3 = middleC standard, and I would guess that VIPro is using C4 Roland.  Sending C1 from LogicPro shows up in VIPro as C2

VIpro has an option to set middleC to C3, then it should work.

  • Thanks, Dewdman. Still no luck, but maybe I fiddled with the key for the matrix itself. Should it be C1?

  • Thanks, Maurfe. I guess if I change the middle C inside ViPro, I wouldn´t change it in Logic, right..?

Would that not affect all other behaviour?

    or VI Pro or Logic

  • Got it to work by raising all the keyswitches in ViPro +1 octave.

    Thanks, guys!

  • well the best solution is to change the preference in VIPro options....to display middle C as whatever you have it set to in LogicPro.  I have mine set to C3, particularly because Scripter is hard coded to use C3 as I recall.  and I do a lot of stuff with Scripter.

That way the note numbers in LogicPro, across the board, will match up with the note numbers in VIPro....all keyswitches, all notes everything...will have same note name-numbers.

(I don't know how to display images in posts, but click the attachment below to see screenshot of VIPro)
