    SSD: I have an NVMe SSD which runs about 3500/3000 MB/s, but Synchron Pianos shows a speed of 624.9 MB/s. Is the software only utilizing speeds of 624.9 MB/s?

    CPU: I also have a 5900x which supports up to 24 threads, but it appears that Synchron Pianos can only currently use up to 16. Is this the case? Will this be updated to support more cores/threads?

    I'm getting tons of crackling while playing when I probably shouldn't be given my hardware. I've read that opening multiple instances of VSP ameliorates this issue, but you would think that the devs would have fixed that issue since the date on which that suggestion/temp-fix was posted.

    Hi!

    Our players measure the 64k random read speeds, as these are much more similar to the actual sample streaming process.
    I also recommend not to change the streaming thread count (this is not a multi-processing setting).

    I use the Ryzen 5950X with all our products without any issues - so it might depend on some of your settings.
    Could you please provide following information:

    - What audio interface are you using and with what buffer size?
    - What Memory/RAM speed is displayed in the TaskManager (under "More Details" -> Memory -> right column)?
    - Are you using the default Windows power-saving options?

    Hey Ben,

    Thanks for the response. In regards to the streaming count setting, how can I find out the default without uninstalling and reinstalling the software? I'm pretty sure I put it to max setting when I was tinkering around.

    - My audio interface is the Audient EVO 4, 41.1 Khz, and 32 samples buffer. 

    - RAM speed 3200 Mhz

    - Windows power setting is set to High Performance

    Depending on SSD speed the preload size is between 3000-8000. For the Synchron Pianos I highly recommend to to set it to at least 4000-8000.

    The audio interface' sample buffer size is too low. You should set it to at least 64.

    For those of us who have already changed that and don't know what the default is; what should I change it back to?

    Default is: 4 loading and 4 streaming threads.
