  • Synchron Steinway D Clipping

    My specs:

    • CPU: Ryzen 9 3950x (16-core)
    • RAM: 64 GB
    • SSD: NvME M.2 (3700+ Mbs read/write)

I recently transferred my Steinway D Synchron Library to my NvME drive.  I don't think there is anything on the market, to my knowledge, that is faster at read/write.  And yet, when the voice number reaches 1000+, the whole audio clips out.  I have changed my Engine specs to:

    • Default Preloading Size: 16384
    • Streaming Threads: 16
    • Loading Threads: 16

I can't think of anything better able to handle this library than what I have.  Unless of course I get a 32 or 64-core CPU and 128 GB RAM?

    Thanks in advance.

  • I've seen it fairly strongly advised not to screw with the threads count. That's not about more cores distribution, it's internal something.

but I'm looking at the thread because I'm getting Bizarro World clipping with the Imperial piano.
