  • Synchronizing different sources

I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this but here's the brief scenario:

Finale orchestral piece composed with Noteperformer, exported midi and tempo map file to Reaper to then apply VSL SE libraries.  However in a couple cases I prefer some of the Noteperformer sounds to add more presence so I export audio of just those tracks and import in the Reaper project as well.

However the two become out of sync part way into the piece and I don't understand why since they all originate from the same finale file.  The only thing I can think is VSL and Noteperformer have different time sync clocks but have no idea where to look or how to make everything match.

Does anyone else do this or have ideas on making this work?  Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Hello Steve!

The sync doesn't come from VSL or Noteperformer, but rather from Finale or Reaper. You could sync Finale to your Reaper project with the Rewire protocol.

    Best regards,
    Andi
