    Hi everybody,

    Finally, the long-awaited library, and probably the one we've gotten the most requests for, is here:

    SYNCHRON BRASS

    136 GB of brassy goodness, featuring 8 soloists and 7 brass sections, is waiting for you!

    Soloists: 2x Solo Trumpets, 2x Solo Horns, Tenor Trombone, Bass Trombone, Cimbasso, Bass Tuba

    Ensembles: Trumpets a4*, Trumpets a6, Horns a6*, Horns a12*, Tenor Trombones a4, Trombones a9*, Low Brass Ensemble a6*, + Giant Tutti Brass (great for sketching).

    From mighty and powerful to soft and subtile - these brass instruments can do it all.

    As usual, packed with a lot of articulations, including different shorts, longs, legatos, dynamics, fluttertongue and trills, fast repetitions, rips, upbeats and more (varies depending on instrument).

    Also as usual, everything was recorded with multiple mics, giving you full sonic flexibility + we added a lot of mixer presets so you can load an instrument, load your favorite mix, and get inspired.

    We also included additional carefully crafted Signature Mixer Presets for more variety in sound and to inspire you to create your own mixes.

    For this release we added a new feature for the Synchron Player: Timbre Adjust.

    This feature allows to mimick the timbre changes of brass instruments without the need for crossfades.

    It can be used in combination with velocity XF to increase the effect, or on its own to avoid possible artifacts when using velocity XF with solo instruments.

    The quick answer: Up to 5, depending on articulation.

    The ensembles have 4 velocity layers for the longs / legatos, the soloists have 3.

    The Con fortissimo articulation will replace the highest layer with a ff one (except the Solo Horns, where you will get the ff layer as additional layer in the Con fortissimo articulation => 4 layers).

    The Espressivo articulation has 4 layers for ensembles and 2 for soloists.

    I purchased and have just installed Synchron Brass. I have authorized it successfuly with the e-Licenser.

    I find the Synchron Brass folder in with my other Synchron files, and I see in Synchron Player that the Synchron Brass folder is included with all my Synchron files Database.

    I'm using Synchron Player v. 2032

    BUT, I don't find Synchron Brass in the instruments browser. I expected to see it und SYNCHRON Collections, but it's not there, nor do I see Synchron Brass in any of the other sets of instruments (Big Bang, Synchron-ized Collections, Synchron-ized SE, Epic Orchestra).

    Where is it, please?

    Solved. 

    I thought I had activated it, but I the process wasn't completed. Works fine now. And it's fantastic!

    Hi Paul,

    Congratulations to you, and the rest of the VSL team for the release of Synchron Brass.

    This is a major release, and very well done. I'm most likely going to buy the full version. Everything I heard sounds fantastic. 

    Also looking forward to the release of Synchron Woodwinds, and Synchron Solo Strings.

    We're excited to share this with the world, while our recording heroes are already busy with new next-level sample productions šŸ˜‰. Can't tell you more right now, but it seems that the "element of surprise" works well for our product releases, so we will keep that up!

    I am excited about the Synchron Brass!   I noticed, though, that the system requirements for the Brass have changed from previous Synchron instruments, and for the Mac it now requires Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra.  For reasons of other software, I am still using Mac OS 10.11.6.   I am wondering if the Synchron Brass are truly incompatible with this earlier OS, or what difficulties I might encounter if I were to install them on my OS 10.11.6 system.

    Hi wibur!

    We had to turn up the minimum MacOS requirement for this Synchron Player release.
    The last Synchron Player version supporting older MacOS versions can crash during library loading of Synchron Brass instruments.

    Hi VSL,

    I noticed from the contents page that the soft sustains from BBO Zodiac are missing in the 12 horns and 9 trombones instruments of Synchron Brass. Is that correct?

    I can see them in the presets. Maybe it is an omission from the contents page.

    I am (once again) B L O W N away by this brilliant new library!

    I've gotten to really toy around with a couple of the solo instruments, but this is absolutely stellar. I mean, come on! This whole team is stellar! Congrats to you all again! Looking forward to diving deeper into this library, and looking forward to the next release!

    I have Hercules, Izar, Jupiter, Kopernikus from Big Bang Orchestra. I think these are the whole brass libraries from Big Bang Orchestra. But the price currently shown on my account for Synchron Brass is not ā‚¬ 399, but ā‚¬ 440. I was wondering which library I miss from BBO to be qualified for the discounted price of ā‚¬ 399 for Synchron Brass.

    I'm surprised not to see the Synchronized Dimension Brass in promo. They would be a great match with the new Synchron Brass! :)

    šŸž I've got only one issue for now. I have many instruments with Synchron Player but the problem appears only if it has any preset of brass is loaded.

    macOS Catalina

    1. In the DAW I can add Synchron Player and load any brass preset. But after I closed the player's window I can't open it again. In the meantime the audio is working and instrument can play.
    2. In the VERPO Server 7.0.1056 64 bit. Crushed the whole app when clicking between tabs "PERFORM, CONTROL, etc"

    I can click on other tabs as well, but on "CONTROL". In both cases it crushed or frozen the application after clicking on the "CONTROL" tab.

    So it's clear that the problem is not related to a host application. Just tried to load a patch without choosing a preset. With patches dropped on a slots everything is working.

    ā—ļø Reloading computer,  downloading and reinstalling a patches didn't work out for fixing the problem.

    Waiting for solution.

    Which OS are you working on, exactly?

    Which DAW and version are you using?
    Did you upgrade to the latest version Synchron Player 1.1.2037 (which is necessary for Synchron Brass to work)?

    Didn't know that there is an update available. This resolved the issue. Thank you for a quick help!

    Low Brass 6 players, 6 player clusters -> Short, Long, Dynamics etc - dissonant chord . Is that specially made for, let's say, inspiration? šŸ˜

    Comparing to VI Brass1 and Brass2 will Synchron Brass be really important upgade? If anyone of VSL users made this comparison? IĀ“d like to hear what changes (improvements) in sound and articulations this upgrade will mean. Thank you
