  • Room Packs

    Hi,

I was planning to get Mir Pro / Miro Pro 24 and with a good deal on these I've added these to the packages.  Just downloading them now prior to backup !

I see the activation codes for the room packs and I post here to double check with more experienced users of these products.

I've added Mir Pro & Mir Pro 24 - So is it correct to assume that the room packs are put onto the same license key and Mir Pro? (I figure the answer is yes).

And the same for Mir Pro 24?

Is it also safe to assume that for each license of Mir Pro / Mir Pro 24 that the room packs licenses can be put onto the same dongle as Mir Pro / Mir Pro 24 without running out of authorizations?

Any helpful information appreciated just to ease the uncertainty - Thank you.

  • Yes, mine are all on the same key.

  • Hello,

OK all on the same key - How many times can the room packs licenses be used? - How many activations?

I'll find out later on when I deal with the licenses but I thought I'd ask to see if anybody has any other specific information.

I suppose you need to have an MIR Pro or MIR PRO 24 license - then the room packs will activate automatically on the dongle once you go through the e-licenser process - Is this correct?

  • Hello Dietz,

I note your point the forum isn't the primary support channel but it could be the secondary channel !

I see that the room packs only activate on one dongle so more licenses would be required if more were ever needed.

For this sale due to the price it was possible to add MIR PRO & MIR PRO 24 for the price of just MIR PRO.

Now I've got the licenses activated on the dongles it can be seen that MIR PRO is just referred to as "Vienna MIR" from within the e-licenser where as MIR PRO 24 is referred to as "MIR PRO 24" from within the e-licenser software.

I take it the room packs are primarily used on the host machine - Are they ever used from a slave machine? (this would induce latency so may not be the best way).

Any useful comments appreciated thanks - And yes some helpful comments here would save having to write an email and get a response - Thank you.

  • Hi,

Yes about to install this and it can be seen the installations for the room packs are sample content so just like an instrument but not an instrument as it is the "reverberation engine" etc......

I think what I'm asking is how many people use this on slave machines? compared to host machines? - Just a useful pointer or two and a little elaboration would go a long way in helping me understand this better.

Off to the install! just for a test

  • Hi,

Just done a quick test on a test OFFICE machine - All is good for now.

Mir Pro / 24 would be best on a host or sub_host machine - with slaves running off of them.  The room packs only get one activation so these reside on host / sub_host with Mir Pro VST 2 used in DAW - Thats fine for now - thanks
