  • Do the Synchronized Instruments use the VI patches?

Do the Synchronized Instruments use the VI patches?

The reason I am asking is because I am running low on disk space.  I have 1 drive for each section - Winds, Brass, Percussion/Keys, and Strings.  With the addition of Synchron Brass my brass disk drive is almost full.  I have both Dimension Brass and Synchron-ized Dimension Brass.  So my question is, can I remove my Dimension Brass samples without affecting the Synchron-ized Dimension Brass.

I tried searching the forum, but I cannot find any topics addressing my question.  Most likely I just don't know how to efficiently create a search query.

  • Synchron and VI use different samples, so yes you can remove the VI dimension brass samples and you will still be able to use the Synchronized Dimension Brass.

  • Thank you from your response.

  • Vi player and synchron player instruments all have their own sample files. So if you remove any sample files, that instrument won’t load. I’m about to remove some of my vi inst samples since I am finding myself using the synchronized version and never bother with the vi version when I have both so I plan to make some ssd space by removing those redundant vi libraries
