  • Webb Inspiration

ESA's Arianne 5 heavy lift rocket has delivered the Webb telescope perfectly to the start point of its solo mission. Six months from now we may be looking at the oldest and farthest lights in the universe, and scientists will begin to fathom the mysterious beginnings of everything.

For music composition also, surely Webb will become a very special source of much inspiration.

Best wishes and bon voyage to the Webb mission.

    Happy Christmas.

And today the main antennae which sends around 28 GB of data back to earth twice a day was successfully deployed!   How exciting.  The great challenge ahead as I understand it is deploying the very large (tennis court size) solar shields which will help keep the telescope cold enough to work as designed.

We're going to learn so much from Webb if all goes as planned..
