    Hello.

    I just installed VEPro 7 on a Mac Pro 6.1 running Big Sur for use with Pro Tools Ultimate.

    The main problem is that every time I open it, it rescans all the VST/AU plugins. It takes more than 10 minutes.

    I understand that it should check the plugins at startup like any daw, but it doesn't check them... it scans them.

    I have tried clearing the cache files by hand so that they would be created again but this has not solved the problem.

    What can it be due to?

    Hello Alvaro, 

    A complete rescan should only happen if the cache folder has been deleted (perhaps a 3rd party uitility clearing system caches?) or if a manual rescan is triggered from preferences.

    The plugin cache folder for VEP7 is:
    /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Caches/VSL/Vienna Ensemble Pro/cache
