VI Pro iLok causes Pro Tools crash

Hello all,

This weekend I downloaded the iLok versions of my libraries, as well as the iLok version of VI Pro. In stand-alone mode, things are fine. However, when I try to operate VI Pro in Pro Tools, after about 30 seconds, PT crashes. Hard. Fast... as in POOF! - gone.

I thought the problem may be the MIR Pro or Vienna Suite plug ins, so I removed them from my plug-ins folder, but the problem persisted. I then rolled back to the elicenser version of VI Pro, and everything is good again. I put the MIR Pro and Vienna Suite plug ins back in my plug-ins folder, and everything is still good. 

This makes it unable for me to use the iLok versions of my libraries until this is figured out. 

I suspect that, being a Pro Tools user, I'm in the minority on this forum. But I wonder if anyone is experiencing this, or has any suggestions.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your reply.

It seems to me there is no crash report to send. In this case, when PT crashes, it just disappears. There's no option to get a crash report. At other times when PT has crashed, I have been able to send a report to AVID. But in this case, there's nothing. It's there one second, and as soon as audio is being put through VI Pro, PT vanishes. It's gone without a trace, with no report available. *Poof*

If you know of a way to send you a crash report, please let me know.

Weird. 

Please send us a quick description of your setup and the steps you take. 

Are you loading a specific song? Same behaviour with every song?

Are you creating a new song?
