  • Vienna Assistant still shows installed VSL libs as "Not installed"

    hello,

I used Bulk Install to download/install all my libraries - Vienna Assistant stalled few times so I had to restart it, but eventually all libs got installed.

However, in Vienna Assistant, they are all still shown under "Not Installed"! I tried refreshing (top right), quitting and restarting the app, etc. but it wouldn't recognize them as installed.

As a test, I individually installed few of those libs and they got properly recognized as installed.

Will I have to delete all libs and start over again by installing each one separately (a huge time waste)???

    Thanks.

  • Hello Sam,

That shouldn't be the case, of course.

A new Vienna Assistant is in the pipeline, should be available tomorrow, let's give it a try with this new version.

    If this doesn't change:

    - Can you play/access those instruments in the respective sample players?
    - Could you please send us a few screenshots of the VA and also the installed data? support@vsl.co.at

New VA version should be available in the course of tomorrow, Wednesday.

    Best,
    Paul

I can confirm that. Neither of my libraries is recognized an I am not willing to start reinstalling more than 2TB just for safety. I expect an update that will find installed libraries, the default setting for the target installation is correct. Maybe it is an issue related to external harddrives?

    Cheers,
    Andreas

  • Thanks Paul, will wait for the update to see if it solves it... Worth mentioning that my libraries are also on an external drive.

  • Hi,

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same issue.

  • Hi,

The best idea with such specific troubles is to contact us directly via support@vsl.co.at, best with screenshots that show your situation in the Vienna Assistant.

    Best,
