Hi,
When I open my Dorico projects, the VI windows open as before, but the samples do not load. I am using the Articulate Presets.

Hello Michael!
I'm not sure where the problem with your Dorico projects comes from. Maybe Dorico is missing a Vienna Instruments Pro plugin version and replaces it. Please re-install the latest version of Vienna Instruments Pro AND Vienna Instruments Pro for VI with the Vienna Assistant. Make sure that VST2 and VST3 plugins get installed.
If you have saved your Dorico projects with VST2 plugins and now open it with VST3 plugins, this might lead to the problem you have described. But this is not in our hands really. Maybe you can force Dorico to use VST2 plugin somehow if you have previously saved your project with this plugin version.

Hi Andi,
thanks for the replv. I removed and reinstalled VI Pro and and VI Pro for VI. I see both the VST 2 and 3 plugins (they were there before I reinstalled). I do not know what you mean about saving Dorico projects with VST 2 or 3. There is no choice when saving. In any case, new projects in Dorico do not work with VI either.

Hi Michael!
Do you mean that you have no content at all available in the Vienna Instruments Pro player? This would mean that probably the content is not installed or not assigned in the Directory Manager. Please note that the eLicenser content can't be opend by the iLok player. Please re-install your content with the Vienna Assistant.

No, I have all the content in the VIP player. The problem is that previously when opening an existing file or creating a new Dorico file, say for a solo violin, Dorico / Articulate presets would automatically bring up Vienna and load the necessary samples and articulations for the music. This is not the case any more.

Hello Michael!
We are able to reproduce conversion problems of the Symphonic Riot Articulate Presets for VI Pro on Mac computers and will look into it. This problem does not come up on Windows computers and with normally sized VI Pro presets on Mac.

Thank you for looking into this. I tried the new Vienna software updates but still have no success. How difficult is it to go back to the elicense version? Currently I cannot work.

This is not fixed yet.
You can go back to the eLicenser version of VI Pro by installing the VI Pro software from here:

If you still have the eLicenser content, make sure to assign it in the Directory Manager. If you don't have it anymore, you can re-download and re-install it with the Vienna Download Manager.
