  • Install locations - do I get this right?

As far as I understand the install process, there is NO WAY how I can install Vienna Assistant anywhere else than C:\Program Files\Vienna Assistant - right?

And there is no way I can install Synchron player anywhere else than the C:\Program Files\Vienna Synchron Player - right?

And if I use a desktop PC and a laptop for music production I am forced to install gigabytes of data on each device because - so it seems to me - Vienna Assistant is unable to identify/access NAS drives?

I am hoping that I'm wrong and that I just missed something...in all 3 cases. If so please tell me where the respective changes can be made.

  • Hi,

Yes, the Vienna Assistant needs to be installed in the Program Files.

You should be able to use a NAS drive, maybe you need to provide it with a drive letter.

Most people with flexible setups use fast external SSDs with a good connnection speed.

  • Hi Paul,

I'm not sure if I get your answer right:

Are you saying the assistant needs to be on C Program Files, but the Synchron Player should be possible to install on a NAS?

When I go on "This computer", none of my NAS drives are displayed, despite the fact that they're available when I open an explorer window.

  • Hi,

Apps/programs are always installed on the system drive, by design.

You can store your data anywhere you like.

    Best,
    Paul
