  • Question about Atmos in VE Pro in Logic Pro

So I am new to this surround stuff, but MIR Pro 3D has me interested in understanding this, and with Dolby Atmos and binaural encoding it is now possible to do spacial audio without investing in a ton of otherwise useless speakers.

I have a question about panning.  In Logic Pro 10.7.4, I have setup for VE Pro and MIR Pro 3D.  I have followed the instructions about setting up Dolby Atmos 7.1.2 in Logic.  I had inserted an instance of VE Pro in a channel strip and Atmos converted it to surround as expected.  It also set the panning for that channel strip to Balance.  There are options to change it to 3D Object Panner, Binaural Panner and Stereo.  But there doesn't seem to be a way to disable it.  The MIR Pro 3D manual says it is preferable to disable all other panning as MIR Pro 3D provides all of that, of course.

So does anyone know how to disable the panner in the VE Pro channel strip?

    Thanks for any suggestions.
