    Hello all!

    After upgrading to Mir3D I have severe problems here.

    VEP Server crashes the software eLicenser and show other error messages on my system (threadripper, 64 gig ram, win 10 64bit)). I uninstalled and reinstalled VEP already, no changes:

    1) Start VEP Server - 1st error message:

    "Bonjour error - please ensure that the "Bonjour Service" is running before starting... 1. ...2. ... 3. ... 4. ..."

    I thought we were over this one... This Bonjouir stuff is on my system, but following the four steps I cannot find any Bonjour service in the shown list at all.

    2) Starting VEP Server - takes 3 minutes and 20 seconds, jep! I am using the latest VEP release 7.1.1395

    "eLicenser Control-Meldung - Ihr System wurde grundlegend in der Hardware Komponente geändert. Der Soft eLicenser ... wurde deaktiviert. Bitte kontaktieren Sie die Support Abteilung ihres Softwareherstellers...."

    Before starting VEP Server, eLicenser showes no problems and the "Wartung" is working fine. After starting VEP - nope....

    Then second error meeesage:

    " Dateien oder Informationen, die für die Gültigkeit.... Daten-Sicherheitsprogramme... Bitte kontaktieren sie..."

    Anoher thing...

    Wehn loading an older project into VEP it shows this error message:

    "The project you are trying to load is invalid"

    Other projects are loading, eg the "VEPro-vst-Iconica-Template" but the Sonic SE is not loading (name IN is red).

    Another thing...

    I can start Mir3D and load venues but i cannot connect VEP with Mir in any way. Mir effects are shown in VEP but no Mir-Plugin. I don't know if this is a change or an error. I generally wasnt' able to hear any sound in VEP or MIR since upgrading.

     

    I'm at the end of the line here and really need help.

    What I tried to accomplish: I bougtht Iconia Sections and Player because using the above mentioned template with VEP promised a working setup in Dorico with expression maps using VEP (and MIR?).

    I managed to make VEP receive signals from Dorico after loading the template, but no sampels were loaded....

    Hi Ralf,

    The problem is most likely caused by the so-called "Soft-eLicenser" for a third-party product (VSL never used Soft-eLicensers!). To get rid of it, please do the following (ONLY IF you have no products on the Soft-eLicenser):

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Find the file called SeLicenser.sel in C:\ProgramData\Syncrosoft\ and move the file out of the folder to your desktop.
    3. Restart your computer once again to check if that solved the problem.

    Are the error messages gone now? If you have products on your Soft-eLicenser that didn't work, then I am afraid you'll have to contact Steinberg directly. You mentioned using Steinberg's "Iconica" library in your post...

    You were right, in the meantime I could solfe the soft-eLicenser problem with the help of Steinberg Support. But the outcome remains the same. VE-Server now crashes without an error message...

    I cannot load old projects in VEPServer. It starts loading samples but then suddenly goes down...
