  • Mixing process advice

I'm on a quest to not only write the best orchestrated music I can (it all starts there right?) but to render my compositions with fullness and clarity and all the desirable qualities one would like from a well mixed live performance.  I'm struggling with a process for mixing.  I think my first decision is mixing everything in the midi domain vs. bouncing everything to audio.  I do have MIR Pro3D (24) which seems designed to negate the need to bounce to audio but I'm not sure.

What do others do in this situation?  Advantages or disadvantages?  I'm also making the assumption I don't need to render stems for someone else to mix or master.
