  • [SOLVED] move or delete Matrix keyswitch

    Hi,

I would like to either move or delete the matrix keyswitch (purple) at C0 so I can start my X keyswitches at C0.  I somehow managed to do this awhile ago, but I can't remember how.  I have violin 1 & 2 and viola matrices that start X at C0 and I want to make one for the cello.  Thanks.

  • You cannot adjust the Matrix keyswitches using the keyboard at the bottom of the window. That's a graphical representation only.

In the upper left is the list of matrices. To the left of each row is a little box, and the top item no doubt says "C0." Click-drag that little box to your new destination to make room for CO in your X-axis. Also, you can double-click and type in a new letter.

The octave below C0 is indicated with a tilde. In other words, the very lowest possible keyswitch is C~, which is an octave below C0. The highest possible keyswitch is G9.

Thanks so much Plowman!  I couldn't see the little box with "C0" in it because I have my matrices set to be selected by program (prg) not keyswitch (ksw).  So the little box had a number "1" in it instead of "CO."  Your detailed description of it's location helped me deduce why I couldn't see it.   Now I know how to move the matrix marker out of the way on the virtual keyboard.  I also discovered I can delete it entirely by deleting the matrix where it is showing.  I don't need it since I am selecting my matrices by program changes  set up using Expression Maps in Cubase.  Thanks so much!
