  • Little piece for violin and piano

On the 20th of december 2017 William started a thread on this forum, called "Composer challenge" about composing melodies. There I chimed in for the first time on this forum with an own composition, a little piece for piano, called "For a little one, a tender one".

These days I am experimenting with MIR PRO 3D and with the SYNCHRON-ized Solo strings, the muted and unmuted ones. I made a arrangement of the piece for violin and piano, all very simple. It is just a lullaby.

I am using the character presets of MIR PRO 3D, the "01 violin 1 center warm" for the unmuted part, and in the second part with the muted violin the preset "01 Volin sord Solo center warm". (The piano is the Steinway)

In the meantime I kept experimenting to get a result as realistic as possible. The version that can be heard now is a little modified version of the character preset "01 violin 1 center clear" for the first part. I set toggle band 2, 4 and 6 a little bit higher. Also I placed the violin further away from the microphone in MIR3D and I turned the direction of the violin a little away from the microphone. I think for this moment the best option.

For who is interested, here is the link.
