  • [SOLVED] Two computers, one M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB on a USB-C connection

I need some advice on this subject. I only use VSL symphonic instruments and I have one desktop computer and a laptop. I would like to have access to my instruments on both computers, one at a time.. (the laptop for working away from home..) I have an USB-C enclosure with a NVMe m.2 SSD 2TB for the instruments (they amount to about 800 GB)

What is the best way to ensure that Windows finds the samples on each computer?  (I´m not a computer-savvy...)  Install the instruments on the NVMe m.2 SSD connected to the desktop, then repeat same with the laptop (basically overwriting everything on the SSD..) and let each installation create nessecary Windows searchpaths on respective computer ?  Or is there a better way?

    Hi nilblo,

Install the sample content on one computer, with your Vienna Assistant.

On the second computer, connect the drive with your samples, open your Vienna Assistant and click "Add existing libraries" in the main menu. Then install all the software you need with your Vienna Assistant and you will be set!

    Best,
    Paul
