Hi there,
if I change the IP address of a slave computer Logic doesn't find the instances anymore.
I am forced to manually reconnect all Instances then.
As I have lots of Logic Pro projects with lots of instances which I have to reconnect manually, this is a pitty.
Is there a possibility to force logic to connect the VEP-Instances from a new IP address?

Hi Frank,
When saving your host project with VE Pro being connected, both the IP address & the instance name are saved within the project to allow VE Pro to correctly re-connect to existing instances next time. If these details change, VE Pro will not be able to reconnect.
That's why working with static IPs is essential to set the same IP again should you change your networked computer setup. You will have to manually reconnect instances and save the project with the new IP - or set the same IP you used before.

And of course it makes sense.
The Problem is: In my old setup I directly connected my i-mac to the PC and therefore it was another Subnet
192.188.2.2 I thought this was a good idea not to go over the fritzbox and to keep it separated. But therefore I had to connect the PC via a second Networkoutput to the internet to have access to the internet. What had as a result that my i-mac allways found to ways of connecting to the PC. A bit confusing but...
Now as I bought a new mac studio I wanted to change this, and connect all computers via the fritzbox. But as this is another subnet I couldn't put the same IP address to the PC as before.
So now I have to decide whether to change all my projects to the new IP-address, or to change my setup again to the old way.
What would be your preferred setup. Connect via a router like the fritzbox or directly connect the computers?
