    Which plugins should I select in Cubase 12? There are several VEP plugins for both VST2 and VST3.

    • Since VEP itself cannot load VST3 plugins, what's the benefit of using a VST3 VEP plugin?
    • There is one "Vienna Ensemble Pro" plugin (VST3) and one "Vienna Ensemble Pro x64" (VST2). Both must be x64 since Cubase 12 doesn't handle 32-bit plugins, so why is the VST2 version named "x64"? Which should I use (and why)?

    Hi Gunnar,

    The VST2 plugin can not handle multiple MIDI ports. And latency compensation also works better with the VST3 plugin of VE Pro.
