Hello,
I realize there are many things that can contribute to this, but I am experiencing very slow response when switching from one track to another when the GUI for a synchron instrument is open. It can take 3-4 seconds for the next track to enable and switch over to the corresponding GUI. If I close the GUI altogether, there is no problem and I can very quickly go from track to track. I am using presonus studio one, most recent version on an imac running the most current version of Monterey. I do have all of my syncrhon products updated.
I am just wondering if there is a workaround other than closing the GUI - it would be nice to move more quickly from track to track with the GUI visible.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Mike

I noticed that too. But on WIN 11.

Yeah i have same behaviour, no matter the daw.
In Studio One it also stutters any time there is an articulation change, making it impossible to record a smooth cc curve live while the Synchron player gui is open

I reportet that months ago - still on win 10 btw. First I was told that the matter was investigated by the devs. Then silence for weeks. Even when I sent them another mail regarding this issue I got no answer. A few weeks ago I asked again and got an answer saying that they are working on a new engine for the synchron players that will probably fix this issue. But I guess it will take another while to finish this so my hopes are down a little bit.

Hello,
Same here, win10, S1 pro version 6, Core I7 with 32gb. I don't have this problem with Kontakt or Sine. This makes very annoying to compose with Synchron player.
I hope a new version will fix this problem. Thanks.

the BIG „Game changing“ Update has been released some weeks ago.
It is no Game Changer at all. New Version … old Problems.

Anyone has this issue with iLok on the key instead of the cloud? Or even the old eLicenser version? Cause i don't remember the player being so slow before switching to iLok

Same here, SY GUI is very sluggish.
Another thing that needs to be fixed is when clicking on slots with the mouse, the Dimension Control knob needs to update and reflect the value of that slot please. Like in the VI Pro.
If the Dimension Control knob is on 25 (slot 2) after clicking on e.g. slot 4 (value 75) with my mouse, the Sy player will continue playing slot 4. No matter how much 25 data is sent to it.

it takes 2 seconds for me every time i click on a track to be able to see the synchron player update the GUI
this is regardless of the DAW
any other player switches instantly.
If i open it inside Audiogridder it is way faster
can anyone from VSL chime in?

True. And while Ben some time ago wrote that it has been improved … I disagree. It is still the same issue as ravez describes it.

^^^^^^^^ this. I was posting about this just a second ago in a different thread, but happy to hear its not just me. I can confirm this with Studio One 6.2.1 and Synchron Player 1.3.636 on Windows 10.
As far as I can tell this was never a problem when using the Vienna Key, and almost makes me think the SY player "phones home" to check for licenses (or similar), which takes longer becuase its all in the cloud now.

Thanks, everyone; we will address the slow GUI building to see how to improve it. Best, Andreas

I have the problem using the iLok dongle right on my machine. I use Studio One 5 on an iMac running Monterey.

I also have the slow response for quite some time and thought it has been since the arrival of the Vienna Assistant. Don't know if this has something to do with the cloud, I don't use it at all. The sluggishness is really annoying, hope it can be fixed. The older versions of the Synchron Player didn't have this issue.
I also have the feeling that the plugin "phones home" in some way, because every time I open the Synchron Harp player in Logic the Vienna Assistant icon shortly pops up in the dock (macOS).

I have noticed some improvement since the last Synchron Player update. I'm sure subsequent updates will offer even greater improvements in this area.
Thank you VSL team for addressing this!
