I recently got Synchron Strings Pro which uses the synchron player. And I noticed that it automatically plays with settings most notably "Dim/ctrl/B". I understand what this setting does but it makes automation very difficult to do as it keeps switching my automation lanes to unwanted controls.

This is the first player I've had this issue with. Is there a way to make it less annoying to use. I use ableton as a DAW.

Hi Tristan,

Thanks for posting.

Can you describe how to reproduce these troubles or maybe even send us a short screenvideo that shows what's going on?

Also, some basic information about your OS and your used Ableton version will help a lot to trouble-shoot!

Hi Paul,

Exact same issue here, using ableton live 11 suite on a windows 10 computer.

Tristan described the problem well, in fact, when I access to a chosen automation line, it displays, but editing this line may or may not work, as the mentionned (DIM/ctr/B) parameter appears instead of the chosen one. It seems to behave randomly (wich makes a screenshotting difficult) as sometimes you can edit your stuff for a while and just clicking play will display the parasite one once again.
As far as I know, no problem with VI products, and it's  a pain that I share with Tristan.

Ableton is not the best midi editor, but would be just fine to find a trick, to only be able to edit an automation line normally.
Thanks a lot
