[SOLVED] MIR Pro 3D (24) - No Room Pack available

Hi everyone,

I've had a month's trial of MIR Pro 3D with Room Pack 2, it expired yesterday so I purchased a licence for the Pro 3D (24) version and RP2. However, now when I open projects on which I've been working, using MP3D+RP2, I get a message saying "No Room Packs" available. I reinstalled RP2, checked RP2 location is correct. I'm using MP3D(24) as a plug-in in Pro Tools but have also tried using Ensemble and the same thing happens.

Licences are activated with iLok, Vienna Assistant says everything's installed and up-to-date, files are on my SSD. I'm baffled.

Any help much appreciated.

Hard to tell from the distance what's going wrong now, though, without actually looking at certain settings. Please get in contact with support@vsl.co.at ASAP, I'm sure the support crew will sort out the issue swiftly.

Thanks Dietz, I've already e-mailed Marnix at support, as he was helping out with a few things pre-purchase. It's very odd. The demos all worked 100% fine. The only difference is that I've switched from demo licences for MP3D+RP2 to purchased licences for MP3D(24)+RP2. Otherwise everything's the same as before demo expiry. I checked the RP location setting in preferences (all VSL content is on the 2Tb ext. SSD). I can't think what else to try so I'll wait and hopefully hear something from support soon. A wild guess - have you checked your iLok cloud?

Yes, I checked that the RP2 licence was activated. All the other licences seem fine. MP3D24 runs, it just can't find the RP. Thanks!

Yes, it turned out that my licence was somehow getting deactivated. I've had this a few times with iLok: I buy something, activate it and it runs for a day or two. Then suddenly I get a message saying "no valid licence" for just the new thing (not all my others). So I reactivate. Then often it happens again a few hours or a day or two later. Eventually it settles down. In this case the confusion came because the message wasn't "no licence" but "no Room Pack". If it had been I'd've twigged instantly and reactivated (a couple of times).

Anyway, seems to have settled down now that it's been authorised 3-4 times!

Thanks for the update. I'm a bit annoyed that the process was so painful for you, but I'm also glad to hear that things are up and running now.

Thanks Dietz. This is a general iLok issue - I've had to reactivate other licences multiple times as well. The thing that made this more complicated than it needed to be was that error message. If it'd said "no active licence" I'd've fixed it myself in seconds as it's something I've seen plenty of times but, if you look at the error message I posted originally, it's very specific, it says the issues is with the Room Pack files, not the licence for them, so I assumed that was the issue and spent ages reinstalling files, looking at the settings, etc. I didn't think of the licence until Marnix said he'd checked it on the server and it wasn't active.
