    Here´s a few questions.

    Has the library individual fileformats and instrumentpatches for the GIGA-sampler and the EXS24, or is it delivered in just the GIGA-format so I have to convert it for the EXS24?

    If the library is delivered with individual files for the two samplerplatforms, what happens with the total amount of samples (42000 for the Orchestral Cube)? Is it just "only" 21000 samples but in 2 fileformats?
    Or the size of the orchestral cube (42 gigabyte), has it shrinked to just 21 gigabyte but in 2 fileformats?
    Or is it different programpatches shareing the same fileformat (the best option)?

    Is it so that every samples is delivered in two formats and the size
    of the library is just half as big BUT in 2 formats 2 x 21 gig = 42 gig?
    It would be nice if a had 42 gig of pure EXS-samples...

    You will get 42 GB of pure EXS24 mk II samples with the Orchestral Cube! The giga version will be released in the second week of December, the EXS24 mk II version (which contains .wav files from the same original samples that made up the .gig files, but this time EXS-native) will follow in January. So each product contains only one file format.

    BTW, Logic 5.5 including the new EXS 24 mk II (for Mac and Windows!!!!!!) is now available for owners of Logic 5 and EXS24 for a free of charge update from the Emagic Website:

    The complete version of EXS24 mk II can be tested for free for a 4 week period within Logic 5.5.

    Check it out, the mk II offers great new features (multiple controllers, new multi-mode filters, a complete modulation section with sidechain possibilties, crossfading zones/layers etc.), many of them will be utilized by the Vienna Symphonic Library to the full extent!
