    Thank you, Herb.

Wil all the Horizon collections (Opus, Epic Horns, French Oboe, Woodwinds etc etc) be "converted" to "VI Horizon", each with it's new AU/VST plugin?

PS - In the VI Chamber Strings you mistyped "SYMPHOIC" [;)]

Every symphonic related Horizon product is part of the Symphonic Cube.
    (Collections 1 to 10)

Horizon Solo Strings are part of Collection Solo Strings
Horizon Chamber Strings are part of Collection Chamber Strings
Horizon Harps are part of Collection Harps
Horizon Mallets and FX Percussion are part of Collection Percussion
Horizon French Oboe and Horizon Woodwind Ensembles are part of Collection Woodwind I
Horizon Epic Horns are part of Collection Brass II
Opus 1&2 are part of all Collections except Solo and Chamber Strings.

By the way, collection 11 will be the Saxophones. (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bariton, Bass)

  • I was indirectly asking if a VI Oups 3 is on the horizon.

    5000+ euro is a lot of money for a non-professionist or a semi-professionist...

  • if i own the pro and horizons already, is that content part of the standard or extended collection, or split up across both?

    thanks!

    john

  • I know it's been mentioned already that certainly the Pro Edition is split between the different VI editions. As for Horizon, I couldn't confirm that.

  • All products have a lot of additional content, and it has been split up across both standard and extended collection, using a consistent system that makes sense to all users, old and new. It´s the Vienna Instruments in combination with the samples that adds a new dimension.

The good thing is that you can use the extended collection for 30 days when you decide to get the standard collection, so you know exactly what you get with the extended collection (all patches are labeled), PLUS you can decide which instrument you want to extend.

    thanks Paul,

so to clarify, if i own the pro edition, and i buy the standard cube, i will need to purchase the extended collections to have access to all my pro content with the new VI. correct?

    -john

  • Hi John,

that´s correct. And once you see what you get additionally.......

  • So, your answer is "you buy your sample twice" but you get some extras ???

  • The Symphonic Cube contains more than double the content of the Pro Edition (800.000 Samples) - I wouldn´t call it "some extras".

This will become much clearer once the discount calculator is up.
Believe me, once you play Vienna Instruments, you want all of it (and I´m talking about real desire here).

The Vienna Symphonic Library will always be a great experience. We are currently introducing a new system (in every dimension), and we are very concerned to satisfy all our users.

And when the articulations details will be available on the site, it will be so much more clear for us
    [:D]

  • And I can't wait playing with the new tools !!
how comes you announce a new product that isn't available right now ?
That's not the way you use to behave ! [[;)]]
