    Just wondering:

    Today the performance tool works (in Logic) with an authorization placed on the Logic USB key. How will this new instrument work? Is it in collaboration with Logic? Or will it be some kind of authorization that corresponds to the machine ID (like Spectrasonics)...
    I'm asking because I have two studios where I work, always bringing along my Logic key and a big HD, som I can use VSL on my macs in both studios. Will I be able to use this new VI the same way (on any computer)?

    It's a synrosoft dongle, same system which Steinberg is using.
    And yes, bringing the key and the harddisc enables you to work everywhere on any computer you like.

    I just ran through the link, and found this quote:

    "you need to have a VIENNA KEY attached to the computer you want to run a collection, but you can run each collection on a seperate computer if you want. "

    Meaning each collection comes with their own key?? How many dongles wil I need to run the complete monster??

    You can split the collections on ten different computers, but you can also load all licenses on one dongle everytime you like.
    So you can work on your laptop using one key with all licenses installed, and than go to your studio and transfer the licenses on different dongles.

    The amount of computers which makes sense, is strongly depending on your workflow and your composing style.

    Dongles are sold seperately, we deliver the dongles to our distributors only charging our purchase prices (simply to avoid uncontrolled diminution).
    I don't know for how much money the dealers will resell the dongles, maybe our marketing can jump in here to give this information.
    But I think it's not unrealistic, that you will get some dongles for free at your dealer, if you order the complete SC with six dongles.
