  • Great Job On The Videos

As one of the people who didn't get much out of the first series of tutorials for the performance tool( and spent $50), I must say that you guys did a great job in the new tutorials.

    Very clear and well explained......

  • Indeed - more are rumored. Any idea when they are done? Or hints on what topics they will address?

  • Hopefully something on using the VI Key and installing/transfering licences.

It's fine if you are used to Cubase SX and/or Synchrosoft keys, but I guess most people here aren't. Judging by the number of problems end users over on cubase.net have a tutorial here will be a godsend.

christian: can you tell me what hard ware was used in the screen capture??

  • it was a asus P4C800 motherboard with a PIV at 3.2 GHz. has been captured with windows media encoder 9 and renderd with adobe premiere pro.
i think if we'd stay with the original resolution next time the quality will get better

  • these videos were top notch.. really glad you saw fit to give them to us this time [[;)]]

    well done lads [:D]

  • [:P]
yes very well done! on a similar project I used a sony scan line converter
    ( expensive to rent!)
never even though of windows media encoder. I tried some others, but they did'nt look good enough.

  • i like to stay with on-board tools as long they meet the needs. capturing had to happen uncompressed, otherwise the CPU-load would have been too heavy (playing the VI, capturing the screen and compressing in one run).

there are a series of other applications to be found on the net - some of them also allow uncompressed recording to put minimal load on the CPU.

also osX has a very good screen capture app - not sure now if it also allows uncompressed video, but the mpeg4 codec on macs eats not too much ressources.
