    Hello
One year ago I tried to start a thread which should be filled up with links to you and your musical contribution > Christmas Music played by VSL.
The echo was devastating! To make it short: The project was a „still birth“!

So this year I don’t want any thing from you. No, far from it: I offer something.
As you know, I am teaching children aged 9 - 12.
    Christmas Time = Christmas Songs...

    My Offer:
Just for fun - one of the first rehearsals - let’s try:
Please enjoy the natural musicians who give their very best - again and again...
    Silent Night Holy Night [:D]

I suggest that I’ll organize a journey to Vienna with my class.
That’ll be the choir for VSL.
    Though there are two problems:
    1. How to record spiccato, staccato, 0.3s, 0.5s?
    2. The Silent Stage has first to convert into „The Noisy Stage“

    All the best from Switzerland

  • Beat,
    A charming renditiion!
Sounds like the children were enjoying themselves.

If possible, can you post a later version when they're closer to performance time?
I liked the arrangement too, and the atonal contrapunctal movement by the children was ....erm, interesting!

Regards to you, and good luck for the kids,

    Alex.

  • Beat,

Incredibly cute and very heartwarming. I can't wait for the for the perf_rep giggle patch in the new children's VI; I would use it on those days after dealing with a particularly trying cue approval session!

Oh, and Happy Hanukkah from all of us at Fox News (American joke, there).

  • awesome, thanks for sharing that.

  • I actually found it incredibly moving.

  • yea its the imperfections that make it really loveable. You should publish it just like that. Make a whole CD of them.

  • Moving. Sweet. Food for the soul. Thank you.
