  • ProTools

Is there anybody that can tell me if it will be Pro Tools compatible?
    Thanks,

    Mauricio

  • Right now we have the standalone version and AU for Mac, and we will do our best to make it Pro Tools compatible as soon as possible.

  • Thanks Paul!!!

  • That is great Paul. Does that mean RTAS?

    Tom

  • We will look into it, promised.

  • Hi Paul -- thanks for jumping in here. Just wanted to add that I hope whatever form the Pro Tools support takes, that it's not a third-party RTAS wrapper. They usually cause more problems than they're worth, and can be very unreliable. Plus, you have to rely on that third party to keep up with their updates to match new versions of Pro Tools and VSL. For many of us, VSL is sort of the "main course" of all the libraries that we use in our work, and we'd like to have the RTAS solution be 100% reliable, and not dependent on outside software. Many thanks.

  • Absolutely.

And there seems to be a growing number of people now using PT for both midi and audio (as I've done for years) as Digi's midi features steadily improve (their new tempo functions are terrific).

Here's hoping VSL supports the RTAS thing completely!

  • RTAS support would be huge for me if this happenened in 2006. Lets hope for a blessing

  • Since there is a VST version for PC, why not VST for the Mac? Then we could a wrapper and Pro Tools....??
