  • Epic Horns: WOW

I'm just now digging into the Epic Horns that have been sitting on my hard drive for a while -- these sounds are outrageous. You VSL folks deserve some kudos for this collection. Spectacular!!

  • I couldn't agree more! I just got them and have had a ball working them into my music. I think I read somewhere here that there was a lot of sweat and tears put into this particular collection. Thanks VSL!

  • Same for me. It was a christmas present. Put some IR concert hall to it - simply great.
It is the sheer quality of the samples with the notion of orchestral grandezza that makes it outstanding.
I think, that "EPIC" concept could need more .. (but this was already discussed)

Too old for Rock n Roll. Too young for 9th symphonies. Wagner Lover, IRCAM Alumni. Double Bass player starting in low Es. I am where noise is music.
  • Could not agree more. - They arrived yesterday - glad I made it before the holiday prices end - and I only played arround with them. Man - they are by fact my personal favorites out of my whole VSL collection - simply amazing !

Missed the summer sale, but this time I simply couldn't resist.
BTW - got Solo Strings too - lots of new toys... [[;)]]
Ok - no time - back to work

  • Use them in the Sydney Opera House setting on Altiverb (6m or 12m mics) - out-freakin'-rageous.

Use the IR - 'trash can behind the Chinese Rest' and these things would sound good [[;)]]
