Hi there!
I just bought Redmatica EXSManager and allthough I am impressed by it's speed it seems to be that it is not updating my files... I analysed and processed them (even tried the relinking in the "simple mode"); after all everything still stays "red" in logics projectmanager... so what do I do wrong? Any suggestions?
Thanks for you help in advance! Björn

I really can't find out whats wrong! Can anybody help me? To be more specific: Logic tells me that the exs files are not connected to the samples (are shown in red), but the EXS Manager tells me, that they are connected... Does anybody has noticed the same behavior? Or which program is lying Thanx Björn

Dear Björn,
In Project Manager, please simply erase the whole VSL EXS database and do a complete rescan of the library to update the path references - for the moment, the Project Manager cannot know yet that the instruments have been relinked...

Best, Marnix DO I really have to do a complete rescan??? So it is important that Logic´s Projekt-Manager does this scan again...? I am not really sure, but I think with my First Edition I just relinked the samples with the EXSManager and nothing more... hm.... ???

You don't actually need to rescan with project manager.
The problem is that project manager shows you the data from its own database, and not from the real files. When you relink the instruments, project manager still goes to check the (now old) data inside the database.
So, you will need to rescan with project manager only if you are going to use its features.

If you link your files (instruments) very carefully , 1 at a time. They will work flaulessly for ever.
Tip !

Remembered Another Tip towards Logic's manager :
If you never go to logic's manager page , you will save Ram Once you open logic's manager page it will scan inadvertanly and use ram that can be forwarded towards VSL tracks and instruments.
Logic's manager cannot handle VSL. VSL is too big for it. Thats why EXS Manager is used.
