As a child (brought up in India) - my father used to listen to Mozart. One of the early pieces I heard of his were not the most popular. And I really used to like to listen to that CD my father had.
Now, that CD has been lost years back. And I am not trained in music or anything like that. For years after that , my exposure to western classical music remained limited.
Until, I heard that piece in Amadeus. I tried to find it listed on the soundtrack and everywhere and anywhere I could but I dont know the name of the piece.
It appears in the movie twice. First when Tom Hulce goes to teach music to a girl for money - Where the dogs start barking. He starts to play that lovely piece of music on the piano but the dogs keep barking...and then he leaves....and takes the bottle of wine with him.
Then when he starts walking on the street, drinking the wine...the full version comes on.
What piece is this? Where can I find it? It starts on the piano and then the orchestra joins in....u know which one I am talking about?
Pleas Help!
Thanks.
Best,
Tanuj.
