I'm using a G4, with Logic 7, using ESX24. I have everything loaded and I have the performace tool window up. I have done everything that all the tutorials and books have said and the perfoemance tool does not work. If i hit bypass on the tool it will change the sounds. So I know that signal is going thru, but it just wont perform. HELPP

Ariadesigns,

What exactly does not work?

Have you loaded patches which carry a "perf-" in their name? These are the only ones whose mapping and samples are designed to work with the Legato and Repetition modes of the Performance Tool!

I've loaded the v1-14-perf-leg.f And its not legatoing. On the ESX24 sampler editor window I have legato pushed in (instead of mono or poly) In the edit window I have the VSL legato checked and In the performance tool window I have lo note g3 high note f#6 legato threshold 516 release time 382

Ariadesigns,

Please try and play two notes legato. Keep the second key pressed until the sample does not sound anymore, then play another legato note. This third note should have an audible transition sound in the beginning, similar to a flam.

Does VI-14_perf-leg_f_porta work fine?

If you want to, I can send you the original patch - perhaps something went wrong while altering its default settings...

Best, Marnix

You shouldn't do that I think.
