  • Problem installing Brass 1

Everything has gone smoothly for me installing the library until trying to install Brass 1. The 1st disk installs with the library installer but when installing the 2nd disk I get a window saying .56 tenor Trombone is corrupt. I tried just downloading the files directly from DVD to my drive and and disk 2 stops on .12 cab giving me "error code 36 some data could not be read or written".
    Please help.

  • When I came to install part 2 VI, half my files were corrupted, the 2nd time I tried after downloading the corrupted DVDs again they were all OK, go figure!

  • such error messages are to understand as hint that your DVD-drive runs too hot during the install process. please make sure colling is sufficient or pause between the DVDs.
if you copy files from a DVD to a local disk and some data is not read properly OSX unfortunately doesn't come up with an errormessage like *copying files failed* or similar.

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • I was able to install the resistant .cab. That particular disk had smudges all over it so I just cleaned it and it worked fine.
