    Hi! Everyone,

    This is the config of the new computer I am looking at buying. I will be using it with Nuendo 3, Good amount of plug ins, Film scoring (Video Projects) with dual screen. I will also use Altiverb, Ivory Grand, Stylus etc etc...and a few other sidies.

    Do I need a powerful graphics card to support Dual Screen technology? I am already running a Starter edition from GeForce (6600) - its not giving me any problems but I cant be sure if its one of the reasons of certain errors in Pro tools - I have no way of telling and many people dont know/have experience in this area.



    Will this be fine - if anyone knows of any known incompatibilities (or nething else), please do let me know.

    the motherboard is great (could also run windows 64-bit versins later) and the pocessors with 2 MB cache are a good choice. also we have been very happy with the corsair RAM.
    just a note: it is mentions CDwriter in the list, but you would need at least to read DVDs. and i'd loose the floppy drive and replace the unit with a 3,5" multi-format card-reader (connected to an internal USB-header).

    make sure the sATA drives are sATA II and support NCQ. also make sure cooling especially for the harddisks is sufficient enough, if they are used for sample streaming they will be really stressed.

    the new woodcrest Xeon is the fastest. may make a good choice if you need extra CPU- IE: MIR
