1.A Question for Dietz 7/10/2019 11:54:41 AM

Hi Sam,

I did the presets in the Synchronized Dimension Strings. I used the plate reverb as kind of glue between the single players and to give the strings a little more warmth and sweetness.

If you just wanna use the MIR impulses just mute the reverb channel or pull the fader down.

All the best

Bernd

2.Bought! 10/18/2017 6:44:03 AM

Hi Gaute,

Here we go:

1. Close mic mono: Is a mono mic which records the section leader

2. Front mic L/R: Is a stereo pair in front of the whole section

3. Rear mic L/R: Is a stereo pair in the middle of the sections recording the rear desks

4. Main Room L/R: Is L+R of the so called DECCA tree. This is the main room stereo pair

5. Main Room C: Is the center mic of the DECCA tree. If you use this mic with main room L/R you have the whole DECCA tree stereo system

6. Main Surround: are the surround mics

7. High Stereo (3D): is the stereo pair for AURO3D front

8. High Surround: is the stereo pair for AURO3D surround

Hope that makes it a little bit easier.

All the best

Bernd

3.Logic with VEP and Slaves Very Slow Connection 2/19/2015 11:31:34 PM
Hi,

Ok looks like there is something wrong in the setup. A 169.xxx.xxx.xxx is not given by a dhcp Server. It is given by the operating systems itsself when there is no dhcp Server. Does the connection work faster if You Are using just fhe vepro network without the Internet network?
Who is your dhcp Server?
Regards Bernd
4.Logic with VEP and Slaves Very Slow Connection 2/19/2015 6:58:00 PM
Hi,

Did you try the ips i wrote before? I think the Problem is that you habe both networks internet ans vepro in The same network. So the master does not know which network Device he should usw. It looks like the master takes the wrong one until he runs in a timeout. Then the master tries the other network Device which is working.

Regards Bernd
5.Logic with VEP and Slaves Very Slow Connection 2/18/2015 10:57:46 PM
Can You try if the following changes something.

Use the following IPs for the VEPRO network:

Master 10.0.5.2
Slave 1 10.0.5.3
Slave 2 10.0.5.4

All with subnet 255.255.255.0

No gateway or router ans no DNS.
Does this make any difference.

Bernd
6.Logic with VEP and Slaves Very Slow Connection 2/18/2015 10:20:19 PM
Hi,

Which SSDs are you using? How many samples are you loading? How many GB do the samples need?
What Preload Buffersize are you using? Did you check the speed of your SSDs with a speedtool? If yes, what was the result for reading (MB/S).

Is your internetconnection on the second networkport in the same networkrange as your VEPRO network?

Regards
Bernd
7.Weird Buffer Behaviour - What am I not getting? 10/6/2014 9:32:19 PM

Hi Pingu,

Which network device are you using? An internal or a PCIe network device?

Did you try to turn off "Interrupt Moderation" on your network devices?

Bernd

8.Instances open maximised despite preference setting 8/12/2013 1:03:09 PM

Hi,

I did a test here and it works as it should. When "Load instances minimized" is checked the windows of the instances do not open. If it is not checked all windows do open. And it doesn't matter if it was checked or not when created.

Can you send me the metafile and a screenshot of the "animal service executable" in the taskmanager to .

I do not have this service. Are you using gadgets in Win 8?

Regards

Bernd

9.[SOLVED] Latency related clicks/pops with VEP 5 2/23/2013 4:35:05 PM

Hi Richard,

I think all onboard adapters with the number 82579 have this issue. I would try it. Sounds like it is the same issue.

I do not know how many different types of the 82579 are out there.

Regards

Bernd

10.[SOLVED] Latency related clicks/pops with VEP 5 2/23/2013 9:10:28 AM

Glad to hear that it works now and did speed up your system massive. Have fun now writing your music.

Cheers

11.[SOLVED] Latency related clicks/pops with VEP 5 2/22/2013 8:25:15 AM

I'm more into ATI. But that is just personal taste and at beginning MIR had some problems with Nvidia. At the moment i'm using Cubase 7 and an ATI and had no problems so far. What are the problems with C7?

12.[SOLVED] Latency related clicks/pops with VEP 5 2/21/2013 4:12:34 PM

Yes you can use this one as well.

13.[SOLVED] Latency related clicks/pops with VEP 5 2/21/2013 3:57:45 PM

We had a lot of support regarding drop outs. And it always turned out that it was the onboard adapter Intel 82579V. After using a PCI or PCIe networkadapter everything worked fine. The intel 1000 Pro should be around 30$ or you just take a cheap Realtek network adapter.

Bernd

14.[SOLVED] Latency related clicks/pops with VEP 5 2/21/2013 12:24:41 PM

We use the Intel 1000 Pro alot. Or just a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.

15.[SOLVED] Latency related clicks/pops with VEP 5 2/21/2013 12:09:34 PM

Hi there,

It looks like Intel build a weak onboard networkdevice for audio on some motherboards. So if your onboard networkdevice is an INTEL 82579V there is just one solution:

16.MIR and DAW on a single PC 11/13/2012 8:27:45 AM

Hi,

The E5 family has at least 3 memory channels. Depending which processor you select they have 4 memory cannels as well. Our certificated DAWs vendor XI-machines (http://xi-machines.com/xi_de/xi_systeme_vsl_de.html) in germany has build some really big monsters with this processors and SSDs drives for some of our customers which work pretty well Big Smile.

If you are looking for a system you do not have to think about performance for the next 5 years go for something like this.

Bernd

17.MIR and DAW on a single PC 11/12/2012 7:15:54 PM

Hi Drew,

If you want more than 32 Gig RAM you need 2 Xeon CPUs. I would recommend the new E5 CPUs. With this you be able to host your DAW and your VSL with MIR.

18.Replacing an i7-2600K with an I7-3930K (6 cores)... 6/1/2012 8:11:08 AM

Hi Vincent,

We didn't test the new i7 CPU's yet. But they look very good. In comparison to the i7 2600 they have 4 memory channels instead of 2 which is very helpfull with MIRPRO and of course 2 processors more. When it comes to MIRPRO more power is always good. Do you have processor problems with your 2600 or do you get crackles before the cpu reaches about 95%?

19.Will the following Laptop run Sibelius 7 & MIR PRO 24 with 24 DVD collection instruments? 5/30/2012 11:24:55 AM

 Hi Leif,

Theoreticaly it should work like charm. But we didn't test it on our own. So i cannot give you a clear "yes". From the specs it looks very good but i don't know if any devices (graphic, network, ...) are shared which could cause issues.

All the best.

Bernd

Hi Goldstein,

If you click on the little cogwheel you can select "enable cells".

If you select " force enable cells" the cells will be loaded automatacly every time.

21.[SOLVED] Having problems with the SE Strings Library Updater 12/16/2011 2:28:23 PM

Hi Goldstein,

You have to drag it into the Directory Manager, not into the Download Manager.

22.advice on new MIR Pro slave 12/7/2011 1:45:18 PM

Dear Didger,

When it comes to CPU power: more is more. I do not know about your arranging or mixing style. How many plugins and so on. How much percent is left on your CPU meter when you have a finished arrangement. If you have enough headroom now you should be fine with your new setup.

12GB RAM is minimum and what i can see you have a lot of our products. When it comes to MIR PRO you should not forget that you need as well RAM for the Rooms. So if i were you i would go for 24 GB RAM.

I would also not install the sample content to the system drive.
