Surprised such a basic and needed feature hasn't been implemented yet. This and the lack of side-chain capability are the two reasons I didn't buy VE Pro after trying it out.

It's the one thing stopping me from purchasing VE Pro. I use sidechains quite a lot! :)

But if a string player is playing portamento there wouldn't be an attack on the second note. I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve. If you're trying to get the most natural sound then you don't want an attack on the second note, you just want the sound of the first note sliding to the second in one fluid bow movement. I'm confused by what you mean when you say "there is no matching attack on the second note".

Over the years I've heard many people say reverb tails sound more natural/deeper when they work at higher sample rates, i.e. 96khz instead of 44khz. Would this only be true of algorithmic reverbs like Lexicon? Or would it also be true of convolution reverbs like Mir Pro? Are Mir Pro's source impulse responses only 44khz, and then upsampled when working at 96khz? If so, then there would not be any difference in quality working at 96khz, right?

I do indeed have Waves v9 Mercury. Looks like it was causing problems coz when I remove the waveshell from my VST folder then the Mir Pro GUI is loading fine.

I clicked on the other thread and see Karel just posted that he has fixed this for the next VE Pro 5 update... that's great news! It's unfortunate my trial period will probably be expired by the time that update is released though. Any idea when the next update might be coming? I'm 90% sure I'll be at least buying Mir Pro 24 - but I would love to be able to soon try any version of it with Waves! :)

Been trying out Mir Pro for a while, but today I loaded a venue and my screen filled with a large grey block instead of the venue layout. It's the same with all the venues. The sound is fine, and the icons are visable, but the venue itself is just a big grey block.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You're right. It's the Oxygen 25 knobs/sliders I wish I could change the names of, but that's obviously not possible. Sigh.

I using a little M-Audio Oxygen 25 at the moment, which is very portable and handy, but when I right click 'Master Volume' in VI Pro and move the C9 slider on my Oxygen 25, VI Pro names it as CC7. Is there any way I can rename that to CC9?

Karel can you phrase that a bit more simply please, I didn't quite understand you. Are you saying if your DAW has 8 cores then you should set available cores to 7? At the moment i have 8 cores and i've assigned 4 to Pro Tools and 4 to VE Pro. What were you suggesting?

What?! That's the first I've heard of this problem, but I've only just started testing VE Pro and Pro Tools 10, so havn't had much experience with them yet. Your comment is scaring me though, is anyone else out there getting the same sync problems?

Wait, I thought Vienna Ensemble Pro doesn't work with Sonar because VE Pro uses the VST3 protocol and Sonar only uses the VST2 protocol - how are you getting them workding together?!

So Pro Tools 10 and Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 both have delay compensation... should we activate delay compensation in both of them or just one of them? I'm a bit confused.

Would love the quality of the Vienna Choir Library with the utility of EWQL Symphonic Choir's Wordbuilder tool, so that we can program our own phrases. Any plans for something similar on the horizon guys?

iscorefilm, I see in your sig you have an AMD processor. As far as I know MIR is not compatabile with AMD processors, but maybe someone from Vienna can confirm if this is still the case with Mir Pro?

I'm pondering buying the full Symphonic Cube boxset. I want the full Symphonic Cube, with all articulations/options available, but no matter which dealer's website I visit I can't seem to make sense of the different options. Take Sweetwater for example...

This is listed as just Vienna Symphonic Cube, http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/VISymphCube ...and if you scroll down it says "Over 800,000 samples and over 550GB of sample data" for $3430.

But then they have a listing for Vienna Symphonic Cube Extended, http://www.sweetwater.co...ore/detail/VISymphCube-E ...and if you scroll down it says "Nearly 600,000 Orchestral Virtual Instrument Samples in One Great Package!" for $4440.

So, 'Vienna Symphonic Cube' has over 800,000 samples for $3430, and 'Vienna Symphonic Cube Extended' has 'nearly 600,000 samples' for $4440.

So the different prices for what you get have me baffled. The above is pretty similar to what I've found on several sites. no concrete information basically. Could anyone enlighten me please? What's the most complete package?
