2) What will happen when eLicenser server will go down? Will we be able to use eLicenser versions? Maybe, but not managing them if for example we reinstall system. So this again pushes to switch to iLok. This inconvenience cuts freedom that needed for mind and muse.
In general, I could agree to use iLok, but please add a possibility a) to activate server licenses on disk, not only on stick and cloud or b) to transfer at least server licenses to another account (it is disabled now).
1. Like you said, it's to prevent piracy. And no, neither iLok's nor eLicenser's copy protection was broken yet.
2. Yes, eLicenser is completely offline, it will still continue to work even if the server go down as long as your eLicenser key and the eLicenser software works with your hardware/operating system.
But you will not be able to move licenses between different eLicenser USB keys or activate new licenses.
We offer machine activations only for free libraries. At this point there are no plans to change that.
Regarding moving licenses: Like mentioned in my first answer, please get in touch with . Our back-office has to look into this.

I can only advise against this, and not only for legal reasons.
