 I am using two DAWs (Cubase (WIN10) and ProTools(OSX)). Will there be dangers in the cross platform thing? The mainfocus is the compatibility in transfering the composition from Cubase to Audio into Pro Tools. What are your thoughts here? I would tend to use a powerhorse Desktop PC for composing and bringing everything into ProTools as Audio Files later on in the postpro stage...

Whar are your thoughts on the division of composing and postpro stage?

 if it is merely a device for sketching is it possible to convert the results into larger surroundings, say VEP Setups and such regarding:

MIDI Tracks/ auto generated Vienna Ensemble project

and/or

Individual audio tracks of involved instruments for the mixing projects

how to handle these infos on no more program starts with a vsl liscense I attached below? it could have to do with a wrong set clock.

My pledge as ever for considering a planning to not let the user handle liscensing issues. At least these messages occur for some days now and were not recognized (s. attachment of a report). There are software examples out there which dont use processes to lead to a situation  that bring work down too easily.

All four VEP5 Instances are shut off within a Metaframe, which worked properly. In addition a single 32 bit instance of Vienna Instrument on a DAW track is shown but has no access to sounds, too (red matrix). These features have been Fully functional until yesterday. Nothing has been changed.

In this case I already tried the following to get Vienna working again

The additional needed hardware to liscense VSL in form of a USB Dongle seems to work as other programs which use this method also run as intended

To trobleshoot I did:

PC Restarts

Directory Manager relocate content folders

eLiscenser repair

clock set properly#

 No success

how to change the CC Number only using my Modwheel. I guess its not necessary to use a lot of physical faders to assign different ccs . Where can I find it in VSL or what is a good way to workaround,turning my CC1 into a lets say CC11.

here a file I created to test around/check a bit.

It sounds pretty untight, although everything is quantized 100% (Harp and Strings in the same VEP instance). If you would hear the click the difference becomes more obvious. Cubase 9.5 did not do me the favour to export the click into the Bounce File, although activated and audible in the project.

Of course I know, that sus - strings tend to sound a bit after the beat, so I programmed a detaché here. Maybe there is another Parameter to check for latency issues, in general, before pulling the MIDI Events manually early in front of the beat.

I set up Cubase Pro to trigger VEP5 Instances in Windows 10. All in the same machine, no server or such.

Is there a Parameter in the VEP5 Preferences to look for latency issues?

Is the buffer size set in Cubase automatically synced to VEP5? Something in that direction might help

I know, this is not a typical Vienna question, but maybe somebodys experienced here.

I try to adjust multiple CC curves within Logic Pro X. But somehow I cant adjust mutliple curves in one editing step

I show you two screenshots of my attempts, where I only can edit one curve at a time for the expression values

What is a good way to edit multiple CCs for multiple tracks in a nice workflow inside Logic Pro X

Is it common to switch Xfade on and off (CC11) for switching to Expression (CC12). What situations would that be and how to control this from Sibelius. I did not quite get it, how it is done but might be interesting,

Hey,

just downloaded the epic orchestra. It is the sound folder I assigned with the directory manager. I also managed to assign it to the eliscenser. THe epic Orchestra authorisation is proven to be a purchase this way for VSL, okay.

But...

The VI does not seem to recognize the Epic Orchestra. See attachment.

 How is it really intended to be installed properly ? Do the .cab files have to be extracted manually or so? Does not work with stuffit expander...
