You are not a guru but you are not very far  to become it ! I put your recommandations on Reaper settings and it works fine now ! I hope there is definitve ... I thank you very much !  I'll come back if another trouble decides to bother me !

I set the parameters as you mentionned... But I have a problem to do the test.

I describe it :

- I create only one track in Reaper

- I insert the wave generator form "waves" (Emo generator) which provides sinus, white or pink noise

- I insert one instance of Mir pro 24 in the track

- I start the generator ... That's ok of course but...

- at each time i put my mouse on the GUI of Mir to move or modify the  source parameters,  the generator stops... It restarts when i click on the Reaper GUI... I have not this problem with others plug-ins (for example, with Vienna suite, that I own too) . With all others I may modify parameters on the plug-in GUI without any consequences on the Reaper's workflow..

Thank you.. I am ready to do these tests but something is not very fair for me... For about 10 years, all my projects are in 48 kHz... Is it very important to switch to 44,1 ?

In reaper the latence is about 22/30 ms (it is written at the top of the main view) . For Mir,  The latency is 128. I use a very fast multicore processor and a big Ram... if you think that it is possible to load more the CPU to redue the trouble, it is not a problem... I will follow your advices.

I sometimes used with cubase pro 10 which was my previous daw for midi compositing and I don’t remember that i had this trouble with this other Daw...  i have no others daws

the crash process is the following one, when it happens : i have no messages. I just see that Reaper becomes totally  unusuable. If i move my mouse on the Reaper Gui, the pointer becomes a hourglass... and all the Gui becomes grey. I only have the message on top « reaper doesn’t answer », All others appli (internet, microsoft browser or office...) still work but Reaper never closes. If I use ctrl alt sup, to stop’the mir task, and the reaper task, mir task is stopped but Reaper refuses to stop... i am obliged to restart the computer...

I use Vienna Mir with Reaper and it seems very difficult ! I use a brand new PC with very fast CPU and 64 Go of ram... I consequently can't suspect it is due to some hardware limitations .... I have a lot of crashes when I want to introduce the plug-in or when I want to modify channel parameters. If this process succeeds, ther is no problem in usage... The crashes only appears when I decide to move a source, to modify its width ... or to modify sliders position in the menu. Have you any recommandation to avoid this ...

I have troubles with SStrings. To well use this merveillous library, i bought a new SSD and I extended my RAM to 32 Go. I become an user of Windows 10 too, due to this new Ram extension...
My problem is the following one. When i use Sstrings in, for example 4 or 5 instance to cover violins, altos... in Cubase pro, the sounds become bugged, unusuable after about one hour... and I have to stop my project, and to reopen it to recover the rights sounds... i suspect RAM saturation or something like that... is anybody has the same troubles ?

It seems that you have downloaded the jazz drums and now it's operationnal for you. On my side, I have a problem when I launch the installation. The process is interrupted near cab 16. (I've tried to download Three times with the same results...). Have you this kind of trouble ?

It's the third time I download the same files (16 and 17 now, following your advice) and it's the third time I obtain corrupted ones. Is there anybody who succeded on this procedure (not with a Cray... It's not my home computer...).

I there anybody succeeds in the download of Jazz Drums. I bought Vienna suite and consequently have the possibility to download the free Jazz drums instruments. Download resquires hudge time... After that, the installation is good up to the file nB16 and drop out after... No answers from the support up to now.

When I launch VI it takes a hudge time to start, sometimes, and sometimes it refuses ... Is there anybody which has the same trouble ?
I understand why it's very long to load samples, but nos why it's so long to load the instrument.

For Piano, I use Bosendorfer and Steinway (with Giga), Virtual Piano from Artvista and Gigapiano but the piano I prefer is Malmsjo from Artvista... Which one do you use ?

I used it ... I'm not convinced it was a good choice because I have instability troubles. My PC stops sometimes without any logical reasons... and computer's specialist s said me that it's a problem with Dual core... Except this, I have no probem to use VI with my sequencer (RAM : 2Go) but it could be the same with a classical mono-core !

Sure !!! For all instruments, it's better to have a professionnal. But, to prepare a song before to be played, we need to have VSL... if we don't play the saxophone.
I play the piano and I have bought 4 sampled ones, but I'm not satisfied and I go on to search the good one ! ... I understand you'll have the same approach for saxophone !

I bought a serie of VInstuments and it's a great pleasure to ear the sounds. I just want to suggest you to imagine an external midi controller (hardware) to be substituted to keyswitch. It could be more comfortable to have a set of buttons (with possibly a LCD on each one where we could load the signification for each matrix) and a modwhelle too..

My car is not a Rolls Royce... It's not a problem for me like it's suffisant for me to have the basic version, not the extended one. I just used to upgrade regularly all my musical software to be at the right level of the technology and with others suppliers, the upgrade is not at the same price that a new acquisition. It's the first time I see that !

Sorry... the high level of quality doesn't excuse a bad (and near illegal) price policy. I own Horizon solo strings and Chamber strings. To upgrade to your new instrument for the basic (not extended version), I have to pay again the same value than before... It's a curious manner to show your loyalty with your previous customer ! If the new price covers the samples, it's inacceptable because we have paid before and as you know, the payment covers the right to use it. We don't have to pay again of course, except if they are totally new (you know it's not !). If the price covers the instrument, why have we to pay the instrument for each set ?
My suggestion is : you offer a discount if we want to upgrade simulaneously more than one horizon sets. It will be more comprehensible ! For example, for me it could be the following situations : I will pay the price of the upgrade for Solo strings and 30 or 50 euros for the upgrade of Chambe strings... it's more comprehansible and more sympathetic for your previous customers !. ops: ops:
