1.Baroque/Film style strings? 6/29/2011 8:08:44 AM
Don't really like answering it seems. Asking people to gamble on something at this price is not very decent. Very disappointing.
2.Baroque/Film style strings? 6/27/2011 2:32:20 AM
Is the VSL suited to be bent towards more exotic sounds like gut or soundtrack type strings, or is it for Romantic/modern classical only?

Generally these sounds tend to be colorful and bright and warm. They shouldn't sound too edgy or stringent, but kind of enchanting and quaint.

Here are some examples of what I'm talking about. I read on this forum that the Chamber Strings from VSL can sound a bit too bold and blunt for this kind of stuff. What about the solo or orchestral collections?

Thanks.
3.Non-vibrato with Solo Strings Standard Edition 6/10/2011 6:53:47 AM
I would like to resurrect this topic.

I'm interested in sustained, non-vibrato patches for solo strings without mutes. The product page is too vague about the contents within the packages. Under the extended library it says "Sustained with progressive, fading, and without vibrato"

Are there different types of sustained, non-vibrato patches?

Does any of the SE libraries for the strings include sustained, non-vibrato patches?

I have no idea what the difference between the "sustained, progressive fading" and "Vl_sus_noVib" are.
4.Feature request: VST EXpression v2 4/4/2011 6:11:56 AM
I'm also interested in this. The Note expression is a feature that is little talked about as of now, and not supported by anything other than Halion Sonic. If we stay within the range of classical music (standard repetoire, Bach, Byrd etc...) can we avoid the need for something like that?

The biggest concern would be the keyboards, do they use one voice per channel or one instrument per channel?
