Can someone help me with this? I use Vienna Special Edition with Logic. Logic is opening OK, but the Vienna won't load. The sounds are on my external hard disk, and I do have the ilock key plugged in. The external hard disk shows on the desk top, and I see in the channel strip i/O the it says Vienna. I can click on that and I get the Vienna interface, but it shows no sounds/patches. I have checked with the Vienna Directory Manager, rescanned there. I have even removed the existing folders, then scanned for them, therefore establishing them once more in the Directory Manager.
The only thing I have done since I saw you was to install an update for Finale 2011.
Hopefully this is a known issue and someone can tell me the solution.

OK Paul, I'm sending the log off to you now. I'm just sending it how it is. Let me know if I should perform some action (like trying to open LCC, then having to Force Quit it), and then sending the log.

Don't know what you mean. Vienna has never started up, because I cannot open the LCC. The only thing on my screen is the ball spinning in front of License Control Center initializing.

Sorry to say that, if I do not hear anything from any one who can help me and get this resolved and solved by this afternoon, a few hours from now, I will have to go to another product. This has been going on a week now. That is much too long, and it's likely I have lost work because of not being able to get this project I am working on done.

Dear Paul, Yes, the LCC alone won't open. I guess I get some numbers off that to open VI, is that right? I haven't actually got to the VI yet? I am on Leopard 10.5.8, not Snow Leopard. Don't know what you mean by the last line. I'd appreciate it if you will walk me through. I'm really desparate to get this going, and on a deadline. I'm new to this forum. I just purchased VI Special Edition but cannot open it. The ball spins forever and I finally need to Force Quit. I have a new MacBook Pro and will endeavor to use VI with Logic 9.
I purchased VI from Sweetwater and the techs there are trying to help, but after an hour of trying things (Disk Utility, repairing permissions, downloaded the newest License Control Center, restarting of course, unplugging all external disks, not having any application open), no difference.
I need help. I don't want to go to another product but may have to. Thanks for any suggestions.
