Glad I saw this post before I wrote mine out. Just bought a second license and iLok so I could upgrade VEP on my Mac and server computer, and have run into the same issue with Logic hanging. I just uninstalled on both computers and reverted back to the eLicenser version of 7.0.1120 to get my sessions to work (can't spend too much time messing around on anything I don't know won't run properly at the moment). Running OS 10.15.7 on a 2010 Mac Pro and Logic 10.5.1 and Windows 10 on the PC.

Just built a new VEP template a few weeks ago, and have run into a bug of some sort with multi-instrument instances of Kontakt hosting CineSample instruments. The beginning of each session runs perfectly fine, but after some time the CinePerc and CineBrass instruments started to sound like they were getting cut off. The samples just stopped playing all the way through or would sound like they weren't playing at all. After checking a zillion different things, I finally went into the settings of the instruments and checked the "release" knobs. They were set at the default of 100% where they should be, but I moved them a bit anyways and miraculously the samples played as they should! No more getting cut off. The issue is, I don't have the release knobs mapped to any CC's, yet each instrument in the entire Kontakt instance was affected...meaning I have to go in manually and wiggle each instruments release knob to get them to work. This issue only seems to affect CineSamples, as I've yet to have it happen to any of my other instruments or multi's from other companies. Anyone know anything about this or have had this happen?

System info:

Host: Mac Pro 2010, OS 10.15.7, Logic Pro 10.5.1

Server: Windows 10, VEP v7.0.1120, Kontakt 6.7.1

Don't know if this is a known bug or if there is a fix in the works for it, but multi-out instances of Kontakt don't seem to register with VEP6 properly after stereo channels 25/26. The outs are assigned correctly in Kontakt and registering key hits, but nothing is registering on VEP6 Master Bus 14 (stereo out 27/28). Any updates on a fix for this would be greatly appreciated!

(edit: Seems it's not isolated to outs 27/28...just loaded multiple instruments into an instance of Kontakt that had 13 stereo outs (the final stereo pair was 25/26) and the final instance had the same issue as above.)

Figured it out. I had the eLicensers plugged into seperate computers and was trying to transfer the keys that way...rookie mistake. Thanks for the responses though!

Hey there,

Just built a new PC to host more samples, but all of my license keys are somehow stuck on one eLicenser saying they're part of a "Collection License". Any reason this is happening? All programs are up-to-date.
