1.Bösendorfer in Vienna Synchron Pianos standalone 10/16/2020 9:41:00 PM

I’ve got timbre shift set to -2. Sorry for wasting your time. At least I know now.

2.Bösendorfer in Vienna Synchron Pianos standalone 10/16/2020 8:47:14 PM

Hi,

I've somehow disabled the top B note of the Bösendorfer Imperial within the Vienna Synchron Pianos standalone player.

When I play the note on my keyboard the virtual keyboard within the player shows the note being played but no sound is produced. When i switch to my vienna imperial virtual piano the note plays.

Looking at the virtual keyboard the note is greyed out like the C immediately above it which also doesn't play. I've attached an image to show that these two notes are greyed out.

Any hints on how I can get these notes back, at least the B since I need it for a piece I'm learning?

3.Vienna Synchron Pianos Update 9/16/2020 5:54:32 PM

Since I am now clicking the don’t update button each time I run the player. That means I am very likely to miss the update that fixes the original problem but does not then create the issue discussed here.

Could someone from VSL post in this thread when there is a new update. I would greatly appreciate it.

TIA

4.Synchron Pianos - Sustain notes are 4 times louder than non-sustain notes 9/2/2020 7:55:13 PM

It just occurred to me. I wonder if any digital pianos make the same adjustment. Such that they send a higher midi velocity value for the same force applied to the key when the sustain pedal is pressed?

5.Synchron Pianos - Sustain notes are 4 times louder than non-sustain notes 9/2/2020 6:34:45 PM

Thanks for the info on this.

i had not got around to puzzling it out. I mostly play romantic era composers and use plenty of sustain. But for a Mozart piece I have been learning, I do not use any and the recording of my progress With this piece is a lot quieter.
Now I know and understand the reason.

6.Vienna Synchron Pianos Update 8/29/2020 12:02:54 PM

I did not have time to follow up on this until today. I've installed the previous version. With about half an hour of playing the problem appears to be gone.

Definitely something not right with the latest player update and going back a version resolves the problem for me.

For added context I'm using Bösendorfer Imperial full.

7.Vienna Synchron Pianos Update 8/9/2020 3:48:43 PM

I have installed the Vienna Synchron Pianos update.

I am now getting far more crackles than I was before, effectively it was 0. Just on a very rare occasion, but now it is quite constant without other settings being changed. Using the CPU monitor the CPU usage seems to be quite a bit generally higher than it was previously.

I have a six core 3.2 GHz Mac Mini i7, with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD drive running Catalina.

Can I go back to the previous version of Vienna Synchron Pianos?

I am running with 5 microphone positions with the BI and I know this is not a trivial configuration. But it does feel disappointing that a software update can result in a reduction of choice because of the added demands on the system for the same configuration.

8.Concert D-274 problem 7/12/2020 6:27:24 PM

I had this issue, and it was one of the reasons I returned the D274 during the 14 days.

9.NEW: Synchron Bösendorfer Imperial 7/4/2020 10:51:51 AM

I have to say the update has resulted in a step up in my enjoyment of the Bösendorfer Imperial. I don't properly understand the fixes, the panning issue was one I didn't pick up on but there is something cleaner about the sound after the update

I am however confused, from what I understand and my reading of the lightweight release notes the fixes are for panning issues in the mid mics and removing clicks for certain notes in the close and mid mics at high velocities. It feels like the improvement is more than that to me, are there any other changes or is that it?

I was rating BI a step down from the Vienna Imperial, but now I'd be hard pressed to say which i enjoy more.

They have quite different sounds.

10.[SOLVED] License already used 5/15/2020 9:58:16 PM

Working now.

11.[SOLVED] License already used 5/15/2020 8:47:27 PM

I got my usb key today.

I downloaded the various bits of software a few days ago, in preperation for installing the Vienna Imperial piano VST today.

This evening I ran the download manager, but it finished downloading while I was away from my computer for sometime.

When I got back there were two instances of the elicenser application running and i hadn't noticed. When it asked me to activate the license I said yes. But then it blocked insisting I quit the elicenser application. I noticed then I had two instances of the elicenser application running. I quit the second one.

But there was an error with the activation. Now when I try and install the Vienna Imperial piano it asks for it to be activated but when i try and activate it says license already used.

This is on macOS running 10.14.

Can anyone give guidance on how to fix.

Kevin
